The Southeast Minnesota REALTORS® has served as the “Voice of Real Estate” in the southeast Minnesota area for more than 60 years, issuing statistical analysis of market conditions, offering legislative support to its members and the industry at large and serving as the premier resource for all things real estate in eleven counties in southeast Minnesota. SEMR advocates for private property rights for all home and property owners at the local level. By promoting the highest standards of Professionalism, Ethics, Education, and Technology, SEMR provides a resource for the consumer where the professional REALTOR® is the primary source for real estate services, including commercial, residential and Multi Unit properties in Southeast Minnesota.
Chief Executive Officer & Government Affairs Director
CEO Responsibilities: Execute the mission of the Southeast Minnesota Association of Realtors. Report and liase with the SEMR Board of Directors. Duties include planning, organizing, leading and controlling association activities to achieve objectives and goals set by the SEMR strategic and operating plan including New Membership, Communication, Projects and Staff Member Services support. Staff Liaison to Owatonna Member Services.
GAD Responsibilities: Serve as liaison to local government bodies in all communities of Southeast Minnesota including Albert Lea, Austin, Owatonna, Rochester and Winona. Duties include sharing information, tracking issues, forming relationships with community leaders to convey the REALTOR® mission and advocate on behalf of members and the public.
Vice President of Technology Services
Responsibilities: Technical support and assistance to members on all MLS system applications. Liaison to MLS Tech Committee. Provides guidance and training to MLS users as required. Resolves customer service problems for the MLS in coordination with vendors. Staff Liaison to Austin Member Services.
Responsibilities: Maintain membership and accounting services including all billing and accounts receivable for the Association and MLS. Duties also include planning the education calendar and registration for all events and activities. Coordinate with Membership and MLS on compliance issues. Staff Liaison and MLS Staff Liaison to Albert Lea, Rochester & Winona Member Services.
Responsibilities: Maintain member and public communication relations via social media, direct emails and weekly newsletters for the Association and MLS. Duties also include event planning, light book keeping and Real Estate Store quality and inventory. Coordinate with Membership on Licensing and Continuing Education Credits.
